Every great lighting installation starts before a single fixture goes in the ground. Right now, we're deep in the design phase for a beautiful home in Palos Verdes - and this is what that process actually looks like. Full-size property blueprints spread across the table, fixture spec sheets, notes, and a whole lot of intentional thinking about how light should move across this property.

Good landscape lighting design isn't just about picking fixtures and sticking them in the yard. It's about understanding the architecture, the landscaping, the way people move through the space, and what the homeowner actually wants to feel when they pull into the driveway at night. Safety, warmth, curb appeal - those three things have to work together, and that starts at the planning table.

For this PV home, we're mapping out a custom lighting plan that highlights the property's best features without overdoing it. Too much light kills the effect just as fast as too little. The goal is always a finished result that looks intentional - like the home was built with the lighting in mind from day one.

This kind of upfront design work is what separates a lighting system that looks polished and performs well for years from one that ends up with dead zones, glare problems, or fixtures that just don't fit the space. We don't skip this step. Ever.
